I just got my hair cut and its really short. ideas?

It is about chin length with layers up to my lips. It is so short I can't even pull it into a ponytail! I hate it! Any ideas on how to style it so I don't look like a boy?

ok so i went through the same exact thing you are going through now. i went to my hairdresser and i told her exactly how i wanted it and she totally messed it up. I totally hated the hair style until i took a shower the next day and styled my hair my way and i started to like my hairstyle. So.. i think you should take a shower, blow dry your hair, put bed head volumizing spray in, straighten it and if you really want to curl it at the end. i think it would look really cute. or pull the top part of your hair back (with all your hair straightened). i think that would look cute also. Just remember; lifes to short to get caught up with what you look like =]

go for the classic jackie kennedy. it's a little short but i think it could still work for you. P.S. its all in the attitude, you could pull off bald if you had the attitude.

go back to your stylist and tell them that you're not happy and not having any luck styling it. if you want to grow it back out, they'll help you find a strategy on how to without going through the awkward faze. now, what products are you using? if none, then you hair's not going to do a thing. let me tell everyone a hint... short hair is NOT always easier but, with the help of the right products it can be. i have short hair and i use a volumizer before i dry, and pomade and hairspray after. i suggest you find a volumizer, gel, or mouse to put in before you dry. use different brushes. experiment with round, vent, or paddle. next a great pomade is manipulator by tigi. use a little, it goes a long way and only on the ends. good luck.
