dont know what to do about my hair...

i cut my hair into a pob style about 5 months ago and i loved it!

i then decided to grow my hair cos i liked the flexibilty of being able to have messy tied up hair.

but since it got to my shoulders, i absoloutly hate and i havent worn it down once.

my mates tell me that i should get it cut again (my preferance) but my family said that boys prefere long hair and people with long hair are noticed first?!

i dont know what to do..would you cut your hair again and risk it (and have to grow it back again!!) or wait till its longer?!

ive added highlighted and love them (when i have my hair tied up) and in the last 3 months, i have had my hair cut about 5 times to try and change it into a style but still no luck

im just scared of the consiquences. what do boys prefere?

First of all, you should NOT let boys or your friends determine how you wear your hair. You should wear it whatever way you want. I would suggest going with a medium length, that way you can still put it into a messy bun, but you won't have to worry about it being too long and gettting in your way.

I've got a similar problem. I dont know what they prefer, and i don't know that short is sexy, but I do know that if you don't know that you want it long get it cut again. do what you want not what everyone else wants. I've been waiting on mine, but its so I can donate it not because i necessarilly want it long. I like mine a little longer than shoulder length to right above my bust best so you may want to grow it out a little more and see if you like it

I know I might not know cos Im a girl, but personally I would cut it, it's totally in and boys do think it's cute that and with the highlights it will look even hotter. But it's your choice I have the same problem too.

Don't change your hairstyle to impress guys. You should NEVER change for a guy or friend. Do whatever you like. I think you should cut it again. You seem to be more comfortable with it. Just don't cut it too short. Just in case your hair ends up looking bad. You might be able to fix it if it's long enough.

All guys are different. Is your hair straight, curly, wavy? A lot of guys who have answered your question have said long, but it depends on the style. They might be talking about long straight hair, when you have curls. Also, long hair is SO much harder to manage. Tangles, split ends, etc. If you can't manage your hair well when it's to your shoulders, then you shouldn't keep it.

If you hate your hair now, try different styles. There might be a style that you like with medium length hair. Of course, if you can't do anything with it (I know a girl with beautiful natural long shiny straight hair, but she hates it because it's so flat and she can't curl or style it. It'll just fall flat.) and you don't like it at the moment, then I would cut it. People say that if it's longer than you can do more with it, but if your hair isn't like that, then what's the point?

People with long hair are noticed first? How do you explain that? If I was a guy, I would probably notice the girl with short hair first (or a different style). Long hair is so common among girls.

Long hair... You can try new styles out and do more with it!!

But look in magazines and see whats in fashion.. you might find a style which suits you better.. or the hairdresser can allways help... just imagine what you want to do with it and describe as much as you can to the stylist and im sure they will be able to do their best to please you!!
